Top 10 countries with the highest IQ list: IQ tests usually check skills like logical thinking, understanding patterns, and basic knowledgeTop 10 Countries with the Highest IQ List: IQ, or intelligence quotient, is a way to measure how well a person can think, reason, and solve problems. IQ tests usually check skills like logical thinking, understanding patterns, and basic knowledge. Comparing IQ levels between countries is not easy because results depend on many factors, such as how many people take the test and how the test is conducted.
This article uses data from a non-verbal IQ test based on Raven’s Progressive Matrices, which mainly measures abstract thinking and problem-solving ability. In the latest round of testing, people from 126 countries took part. Based on the results, China ranked first, with an average IQ score of about 107.2. South Korea came in second, followed closely by Japan in third place.
Only countries with a sufficient number of participants were included in the final rankings, which is why some nations were left out.
China, one of the world’s largest economies, topped the list with a score of 107.19. This result is often linked to the country’s strong focus on education. Many East Asian countries performed very well in the rankings, and South Korea is a good example of this trend.
In South Korea, academic success is taken very seriously. High grades and test scores play a major role in education and even in job opportunities. This strong emphasis on performance is one reason the country ranked second, with an average IQ score of 106.43.
Japan secured the third position with an average score of 106.40. Research suggests that Japanese people tend to perform well in problem-solving tasks, although these findings should not be applied to everyone. Japan is also widely known for its advanced technology, especially in electronics, automobiles, and motorcycles.
Taiwan and Hong Kong also recorded very high scores, around 107. However, they were not included in the final country rankings. Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China, while Taiwan, despite functioning like an independent nation, is not officially recognised as a country by much of the international community.
