Top 10 richest people in 2025: Where do India’s wealthiest rank on Forbes’ Billionaires list?

406 of the world’s 3,028 billionaires are women, representing 13.4% of the total. This year marks an increase from 369 in 2024 or 13.3%, with the wealthiest woman in the world, Walmart heiress Alice Walton, overtaking the French L’Oréal heiress Françoise Bettencourt Meyers to claim the top spot among women.

Notably, the United States of America dominates the list of billionaire citizens, with a total of 902, followed by China (including Hong Kong), which has 516. India, in a notable mention, ranks third with 205.
