All three major Indian telecom companies have raised the prices of their recharge plans by up to 25 per cent. However, many of these plans cater primarily to heavy mobile data users and those constantly on the go. For individuals working from home (WFH), these options may not be as practical, especially if they already have a high-speed broadband connection.

That said, WFH professionals may still require unlimited calling but can manage with limited data. This is where Airtel, Jio, and Vi’s affordable annual recharge plans come into play. If you fit this profile, here are the most budget-friendly annual recharge plans to consider in 2024:

1. Jio Rs 1,899 Recharge Plan

At Rs 1,899 (less than Rs 160 per month), this plan provides unlimited calling and 3,600 SMS over 336 days, along with 24 GB of high-speed data for the entire period. Once the data quota is exhausted, speeds drop to 64 Kbps. It also includes complimentary access to JioCinema, JioTV, and JioCloud. For those needing more data, Jio offers add-on packages starting at Rs 19 for 1 GB or Rs 29 for 2 GB of additional 4G data.

2. Airtel Rs 1,999 Recharge Plan

Airtel’s Rs 1,999 plan, slightly pricier than Jio’s, provides 365 days of validity. It offers 24 GB of data, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day. Airtel charges Rs 22 for each additional GB of 4G data or Rs 33 for 2 GB with a one-day validity. The additional month of validity makes this plan particularly cost-effective for low data users.

3. Vi Rs 1,999 Recharge Plan

Vodafone Idea’s Rs 1,999 plan matches Airtel’s offerings, including 24 GB of data, unlimited calling, and 3,600 SMS. Vi charges Rs 26 for 1.5 GB of 4G data or Rs 33 for 2 GB, valid for one and two days, respectively.

It’s important to note that these plans do not provide unlimited 5G data access, which is limited to recharge plans with at least 2 GB of 4G data per day.
