Looking to make a statement of sorts and take the wind out of Apple Inc.’s sails,South Korean company Samsung is all set to unveil its phablet just a couple of days ahead of its US rival.

Invitations have been sent to the media for an announcement on that date with the not-so-intriguing tagline ‘Note the date’.

Like the two previous generations of Note phablets,the Note III will be unveiled at annual technology trade show IFA in Berlin,this time at a special event entitled Samsung Unpacked 2013 Episode 2.

Somewhere between a phone and tablet,the original Note was the first phablet. The Note III is expected to have a 5.7-inch 1080p screen and trademark S Pen stylus.

According to industry sources,Samsung Electronics event is coming September 4 in the evening in Berlin,Germany to launch the Galaxy Note III at Samsung mobile unpacked event.

With the Samsung Galaxy Note III,Samsung will launch other types of smart devices.

The Samsung Galaxy Note III is said to feature a 5.7-inch AMOLED display,3GB RAM and a 13-megapixel camera. However,other recent reports suggest the Samsung Galaxy Note III could launch in three sizes,like the Samsung Galaxy Mega.

GFXBench data shows it could include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor,although it’s expected to launch in a number versions like the current Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S4,with a Snapdragon 600 processor or Exynos 5 Octa in other markets.

Apple is reportedly preparing to release two new iPhone models in first week of September. The most awaited Apple iPhone 5S and the iPhone Lite will come with the new iOS7 update.

The iPhone 5S will feature a dual-LED 12MP camera and Apple might bring the fingerprint sensor onto the smartphone,to enhance security and payment features.
