OnePlus with its third smartphone, OnePlus X, ventured into the 5-inch smartphone market. The OnePlus X is also the cheapest offering from the Chinese startup. There are two variants of the OnePlus X- Onyx and Ceramic- priced at Rs 16,999 and Rs 22,999 respectively. The Ceramic version is a limited edition product and will be available later through a different invite-only sale.

On the other hand, the OnePlus X Onyx version will be available starting November 5 on Amazon.in only through invites. However, OnePlus has promised that it will host weekly open sale from December.
Both OnePlus X Onyx and Ceramic share the same spec sheet. The Onyx version comes with a black glass rear panel on a metal bezel while the other sports a scratch-resistant ceramic back. OnePlus X Onyx is lighter at 138 grams while the Ceramic weighs 160 grams. Customers would be basically paying Rs 6,000 more for a premium ceramic finish.
OnePlus X sports a 5-inch Full HD 1080p AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 along with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, Adreno 330 GPU, 16GB internal storage which can expandable up to 128GB. The device comes with a hybrid SIM card slot. Users can either use two SIM cards or one nano SIM card and microSD card.
Powered by a 2,525 mAh battery, it offers a 13MP ISOCELL 3M2 CMOS f/2.2 rear camera with Flash along with an 8MP f/2.4 front camera. It comes with FM Radio WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS and BDS and supports 4G in India. The device comes with micro-USB cable, charger, protective case and SIM tray ejector.
