Neelam Dhawan among Fortune’s most powerful women in business

Hewlett-Packard India MD Neelam Dhawan has been featured in the Fortunes annual global list of '50 Most Powerful Women in Business for 2009.

Neelam Dhawan,Managing Director,Hewlett-Packard India,has been featured in the Fortunes annual global list of ’50 Most Powerful Women in Business for 2009. She is ranked No. 37 in this list.

In addition to Ms Dhawan,three other Indian women – Chanda Kochhar,CEO and Managing Director ICICI Bank; Shobhana Bhartia,Chairperson and Editorial Director,HT Media and Preetha Reddy,Managing Director,Apollo Hospitals – have been named in the list released by the Fortune magazine recently.

Dhawans induction to this elite list comes a little over one year after she was appointed as MD. In this role,she is responsible for driving revenues and profitability countrywide across various HP businesses.
