WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that lets you create, modify and share your very own sticker packs.

WhatsApp, the instant messaging platform used by billions worldwide, is working on a new feature that allows users to create and share sticker packs, eliminating the need to rely on third-party apps.

According to WABetaInfo, the new feature is being tested on WhatsApp beta for Android v2.24.22.13. As you can see in the screenshot below, the menu that appears when tapping on a sticker has a new option called “Create your own”, which, as the name suggests, lets you quickly create your very own sticker pack.

Compared to the current implementation, where you need to manually add sticker packs, the new functionality will help reduce clutter since users will be able to create customised packs by adding their favourite stickers. This might also help declutter the ‘Favourites’ section, which can be difficult to navigate if you have added several stickers to the section.

The publication also noted that in addition to creating and sharing sticker packs, WhatsApp will also allow users to add or remove stickers. And since these sticker packs are shareable, they can be easily sent to your contacts, who will be able to import them with two taps on the screen. However, like the majority of upcoming WhatsApp features, it is still unclear if and when users will be able to create and share their own sticker packs.

The Meta-owned instant messaging platform recently announced that it is rolling out a new feature that lets users store contacts on the app itself. As previously reported by WABetaInfo, the company also confirmed that it will be introducing usernames on the platform.
