Truecaller, the free-to-use caller ID service used by millions worldwide, will soon work as intended on iPhones. The app has been available on Apple devices for a while now, but the integration is not as efficient as that on Android smartphones.
For those wondering, the Truecaller app on iOS devices misses out on real-time caller ID, and users had to manually open the app and look up the number to see who’s calling them.
Truecaller CEO Alan Mamedi recently made an X post to share news and said that “even though it has worked fairly OK in the last 2 years, this time it will be just like you would expect Truecaller work, end to end.”
The company’s co-founder Nami Zarringhalam also made an X post to say, “It’s been 9 years of grinding, and some amount of loss of faith in between at times. But soon everyone will be able to experience a smartphone the way we always knew they could, safe and trustworthy.”
Earlier this year, Truecaller introduced a web client that allows users to search for unknown numbers and get real-time call alert notifications. The company has already boarded the AI hype train and rolled out a new tool that helps detect and block spam.
