Google’s next major developer conference, I/O 2023, will take place on May 10, where, the company will officially unveil Android 14, although it has already been available for Pixel smartphones for some time. Besides software-related announcements, the company is also speculated to launch quite a few hardware products, including the Pixel Tablet, which was officially teased last year during the launch of the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro.

Here are the three most anticipated hardware launches that are speculated to happen at Google I/O 2023.

Pixel 7a to come with a 90Hz display.

Google Pixel 7a

The Google Pixel 7a could probably be the least exciting product that the company might unveil at I/O 2023. However, it will be a special product for many users. The Pixel 7a will not only be the most affordable phone with the Tensor G2 processor, but it will also get quite a few major upgrades when compared to its predecessor.

The phone will have a smoother 90Hz refresh rate and possibly be paired with an improved in-display fingerprint sensor. Not just that, the phone is also said to get a camera hardware upgrade, and the phone will feature a 64 MP primary camera with OIS along with a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. On top of that, the phone is also said to receive an upgraded selfie camera sensor, and the phone is said to feature a 10.8MP selfie shooter.

In terms of looks, the Pixel 7a is likely to look similar to the Pixel 6a. However, the display is likely to have slightly thinner bezels, and if we go by leaks, the phone might also get multiple colour options. Like its predecessor, the phone will have an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, and in terms of pricing, the Pixel 7a could cost around Rs 40,000, at least during launch.

Google Pixel Fold

Google is finally entering the Foldable bandwagon with the Pixel Fold, which does look a lot similar to the Galaxy Fold 4. As per the reports, the Pixel Fold will have a 5.72-inch cover display and a 7.57-inch primary foldable display. The phone is said to be powered by the Tensor G2, the same chip that also powers the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and even the upcoming Pixel 7a.

The device is said to feature a 4,700 mAh battery with support for fast wired and wireless charging. In terms of software, the phone will ship with Android 13 OS and will be one of the first foldable to receive an Android 14 update by the end of 2023.

Google Pixel Tablet

While there are pretty good Android tablets in the market, there are none that could compete against the likes of the iPad Pro, especially after the Apple Silicon upgrade, and this could change with the upcoming Pixel tablet. Not just with the hardware, the upcoming Pixel tablet is said to carry several new software tricks to make it a great premium Android tablet.
