On Tuesday evening, at its Summer Launch event, held in Milan, Italy, OnePlus unveiled an entire ecosystem of devices, including the Nord 4, Watch 2R, Buds 3 Pro, and the OnePlus Pad 2. The OnePlus Nord 4 is the first 5G smartphone to feature a full-metal unibody design, which, according to the company, makes it more durable. OnePlus is also offering extended software support which includes four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
The OnePlus Nord 4 (review) is available in three different colours — Obsidian Midnight, Mercurial Silver, and Oasis Green — and is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. However, in India, the RAM and storage options are limited to 12 GB and 256 GB.
The phone has a large 6.74-inch flat panel ProXDR display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Just like some of the recently introduced OnePlus phones, it supports AquaTouch technology, where the display can register touches even if the screen or the fingers are wet, and the phone is also IP65 rated for water and dust resistance.
The phone has two cameras at the back with a 50 MP primary shooter and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens; at the front, the phone includes a 16 MP selfie camera. The phone can shoot up to 4K resolution videos (only on the main camera), and it also supports 2x in-sensor zoom.
The phone packs a 5,500 mAh battery with support for 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging, which has been said to be enhanced by AI technology to ensure longer-lasting battery life. The phone takes less than 30 minutes to fully charge the battery.
Out of the box, the phone ships with Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 with a host of AI features such as AI Audio Summary, AI Note Summary, AI Text Translate, and more.
The OnePlus Nord 4 is available in three variants: The base model with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage costs Rs 29,999, while the mid-tier variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage costs Rs 32,999, and the high-end variant with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage costs Rs 35,999, and will be available for pre-order starting July 20 to 30, and will go on sale from August 2.
The Nord Buds 3 Pro is the latest wireless earbuds in the Nord series, and compared to its predecessor, the Buds 3 Pro is quite an upgrade. It offers features like customisable active noise cancellation (ANC), flash charge support, dual connection along with support for Google Fast Pair, and an IP55 rating, which makes it sweatproof.
Priced at Rs 3,299, the Buds 3 Pro is the most affordable product introduced today, which is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
The OnePlus Watch 2R is a toned-down version of the Watch 2, which was introduced earlier this year. The latest model also comes with a dual operating system, including RTOS and WearOS, and packs a large 500 mAh battery, which can deliver up to 100 hours or four days of battery life. The Watch 2R is priced at Rs 17,999.
The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro and the Watch 2R will be available for purchase starting July 20 via Amazon and the company’s official website.
