The Nothing Phone 2, the second device from Carl Pei’s new company, has an official launch date: 8:30 PM IST on July 11, 2023. The phone is expected to offer some major upgrades over the Phone 1, which was one of the most unique-looking smartphones of 2022 with its transparent back and glyph interface.

Previously, Nothing confirmed that the Phone 2 will feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a bigger battery, and a similar design with LED lights on the back panel. The phone will also launch in the US for the first time, along with other regions where the Phone 1 was available.

The tweet is accompanied by a short teaser of the upcoming handset, showing its Glyph Interface, which appears to be largely unchanged from the original. The launch will be streamed live on nothing.tech.

Nothing says that the Phone (2) will be manufactured in India for Indian consumers and will be one of the “most sustainable phones in the market,” with a focus on recycled and plastic-free packaging.

The Nothing Phone 2 has also been confirmed to be positioned higher than the Nothing Phone 1, which was a mid-range offering powered by the Snapdragon 778G+ processor. Reports suggest that the Nothing Phone 2 might see a price hike of 30% over the Nothing Phone 1, although it could go even higher.

Going by official teasers, the Nothing Phone 2 will predominantly carry the same appearance as its predecessor. However, leaks have added to that saying the phone will feature a curved metal frame that will make it easier to hold and an improved glyph lighting interface with more functions.
