HMD Global has officially unveiled its latest and affordable 4G smartphone – the Nokia C12. This Android 12 Go edition-based device offers a stock Android UI with enhanced performance and lower power consumption. The device will retail at Rs 5,999 and will be available exclusively on Amazon starting 17 March.
The device features a 6.3-inch HD+ resolution display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It comes in Dark Cyan, Charcoal, and Light Mint colours and has a plastic frame and back panel, offering added protection against accidental drops. Additionally, the phone comes with a one-year replacement guarantee.
The Nokia C12 is powered by an octa-core (Unisoc 9863A1) processor and offers 2GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, with a dedicated microSD card slot for additional storage expansion of up to 256 GB and users can further expand the RAM by up to 2GB. Besides, the device supports both wired and wireless FM radio.
The phone’s rear camera is 8MP primary, while the selfie camera is 5MP with support for features like portrait mode and night mode, along with face unlock support. Furthermore, the device offers an optimised software experience with a 30 per cent faster app opening speed.
The Nokia C12 comes with a 3,000 mAh battery with support for 5W charging, offering a good battery life. The device is also IP52 rated against water and dust splashes. The Nokia C12 will receive two years of security patches from the global launch date, with no information on the Android OS update.
