Jio Platform has announced a new artificial intelligence-powered platform called ‘Jio Brain’ that will help integrate machine learning capabilities in a telecom network, enterprise network or an IT environment without having to transform the network.
The new platform was announced in a post on LinkedIn by the Senior Vice President of Jio, Aayush Bhatnagar, who said that Jio Brain was developed by hundreds of engineers who worked on the product for two years.
“Jio Brain will help create new 5G services, transform enterprises, optimise networks, as well as set the stage for 6G development – where ML is a key capability”, he added. The post also claims that Jio Brain is the “first 5G-integrated ML platform” and that it supports more than 500 REST APIs and Data APIs that will help create machine learning-powered services.
While the platform is designed to offer customised solutions for enterprises, it will also come with other AI-powered features like image, video, text, document and speech generation along with some in-built AI algorithms, which will be available as a service. It also includes a cloud-based solution with plug-and-play architecture, several AI and ML-embedded mobile and web apps, and data integration capabilities to name a few.
Jio Brain can also be used by companies for natural language processing and generation, explanation, optimisation and debugging of codes. Some ML features include things like feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning and ML chaining. One thing to note here is that since these features are offered ‘as a service’, enterprises are free to use whatever they want and pay accordingly.
However, we may have to wait a while as the company has yet to announce the launch date for Jio Brain.
