You can now gift Jio unlimited 5G data to a friend or family member for Rs 601 a year

To enjoy unlimited 5G data on Jio, one needs to be on a plan with at least 2 GB of 4G data limit, which costs Rs 349 a month. For those on a more affordable plan, Jio has now introduced an annual unlimited 5G voucher plan that offers unlimited 5G data for a period of 12 months, and one can also gift this voucher to a friend or family member.

Priced at Rs 601, the Jio True 5G gift voucher offers 12 5G upgrade vouchers, which can be redeemed from the My Jio app. However, to activate the unlimited 5G voucher, a user should be on a monthly or quarterly recharge plan with at least 1.5 GB of 4G data limit. It won’t work for those on a 1 GB per day data plan or those who have recharged the Rs 1,899 plan, Jio’s most affordable annual recharge plan.

Users can either buy the Jio True 5G gift voucher for themselves or gift it to someone via the My Jio app. Before gifting this plan to someone else, make sure that they are on the eligible base plan to get the most out of this voucher.

Jio’s unlimited 5G data voucher will work for those who are on Rs 199, Rs 239, Rs 299, Rs 319, Rs 329, Rs 579, Rs 666, Rs 769, and Rs 899 recharge plans. Depending on the validity of the base plan, the validity of the unlimited 5G voucher will be similar to the base plan with a maximum validity of 30 days.

Once activated, users will get 3 GB of daily 4G data limit along with unlimited 5G data. Besides, Jio also has 5G voucher plans priced at Rs 51, Rs 101, and Rs 151 with a maximum validity of one month, two months, and three months, respectively.
