As tradition goes, Apple will unveil its highly anticipated iPhone 15 series in the second or third week of September. A new report from Bloomberg now suggests that, with the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple will inch a step closer to its goal of creating the perfect smartphone, which began with the launch of the revamped iPhone X with a bezel-less display.

This year, all the iPhone 15 models are reported to get Dynamic Island, including the entry-level variants. On top of that, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are said to receive a display manufactured using low-injection pressure over-moulding or LIPO process, resulting in much thinner bezels.

The new LIPO display technology, which was first used on the Apple Watch Series 7, is reported to decrease screen bezels from 2.2mm to 1.5mm on the iPhone 15 Pro. Similarly, the upcoming Pro iPhone series is also reported to make use of more premium titanium instead of stainless steel for its frame, which is said to enhance durability and also reduce weight as titanium is lighter but stronger than steel. Apple will finally move away from the flat frame, where, the iPhone 15 Pro is reported to feature a slightly curved frame, possibly with a matte finish, which also resolves the smudging issue.

Bloomberg in another report suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro will also get a frosted glass back, possibly with enhanced drop protection. Just like the iPhone 14, the iPhone 15 Pro series will feature a revamped chassis, which is also said to enhance the repairability of the iPhones. According to a report from MacRumors, Apple will finally replace the iconic mute switch with a programmable button, similar to the one on the Watch Ultra.

Additionally, the iPhone 15 Pro is also reported to receive a major overhaul in the camera department, where, Apple is likely to include an enhanced telephoto lens and the smartphone will be powered by the cutting-edge A17 Bionic processor, which could also be Apple’s first chip fabbed using 3nm process.

With all these changes, Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro will deliver a generational upgrade over the iPhone 14 Pro that definitely comes at a price, indicates another Bloomberg report, where, the base model of the iPhone 15 Pro will cost a bit more than $999 in the US.
