Microsoft has rolled out an update to the Phone Link app, which now allows users to pair their iPhone with a PC running on Windows 11 OS. Phone Link for iOS is now available on the Microsoft app store for free, which allows users to access iMessage on their PC. Do note that if you have already installed the Phone Link app on your computer, the same needs to be updated via the app store to enable iPhone linking.
The updated Phone Link app allows users to send and receive iMessages, attend calls, and even offers access to contacts from an iPhone. Users can download the app for free and pair their Android or iOS devices to sync calls and messages between their smartphone and PC.
Although users will be able to receive and reply to iMessage on their PC, they won’t be able to send multimedia such as images or videos from their PC.
Do note that if you have already paired an Android smartphone on the Phone Link app, the same must be removed to add an iPhone.
Additionally, you won’t be able to add an iPad or an iPod, and the iPhone has to be on iOS 14 or a newer version. While it does not offer as good of an integration as the iPhone and a Mac, this is definitely a step in the right direction for users who have an iPhone and a Windows 11-powered PC.
