If you own an Android device, you must have heard about Google One, the tech giant’s cloud subscription service that offers additional storage space alongside some additional perks. Now, it looks like the tech giant is testing a new Google One Lite plan that is only available to a handful of users.
Compared to the Google One Basic plan that offers 100GB of storage and some additional perks like the ability to share it with up to 5 family members, the new “Lite” plan will cost Rs 59 per month and come with “30GB of storage for Photos, Drive and Gmail.”
Similar to most Google One plans, Google also seems to be giving a one-month free trial for those interested. The new cheaper plan seems to be aimed at users who have run out of the free 15GB storage offered by Google and rarely upload any photos or documents for storage on the cloud.
One thing to note here is that the new Google One Lite plan is only appearing for a handful of users for now. When we tried to subscribe to the new plan from another account, the cheapest we could find was the Basic plan that comes with 100GB of storage space.
It is still unclear if and when Google plans to make the new cheaper plan available to everyone, so you might have to wait a while before it is available on your account.
