Garmin has launched the Instinct 2X Solar and the Instinct 2X Solar – Tactical Edition watches in India. Designed to thrive in extreme environments, the watches feature a solar charging power glass lens that extends battery life, producing 50% more energy than the standard Instinct 2 Solar watch. The watches also boast larger, high-resolution displays, built-in flashlights, multi-band GNSS, and various health and fitness features.
Toughening up the watches is a 50 mm fibre-reinforced polymer case and a scratch-resistant lens. Water resistance is rated up to 10 ATM and tested to US military standards for thermal, shock, and water resistance.
The watches offer unlimited battery life in smartwatch mode with solar charging, and up to 60 hours in GPS mode. They even feature an integrated LED flashlight with variable intensities and strobe modes for low-light conditions.
The Instinct 2X Solar series comes preloaded with activity profiles for various sports and activities, such as running, cycling, swimming, strength training, obstacle course racing, HIIT workouts, and more. It also supports smart notifications, contactless payments, and safety and tracking features.
The Instinct 2X range starts at Rs 33,490 and goes up to Rs 55,990 for the top model. You can buy them online from Amazon India, Tata CLiQ, Tata Luxury, Synergizer, Flipkart or Nykaa, or offline from Garmin or Helios watch stores.
