Dell unveils next-generation XPS laptops and new UltraSharp monitors ahead of CES 2024, and the company will be showing these products at the Consumer Electronics Show 2024, in Las Vegas. The latest lineup of XPS laptops are powered by the new Intel Core Ultra series of processors with a dedicated NPU (neural processing unit) to handle AI tasks. With the latest update, Dell is unifying the XPS lineup by incorporating the XPS 13 Plus's minimalistic design with a massive glass trackpad to the bigger XPS 14, and the XPS 16. All three variants now feature a premium design with an aluminium body and Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the OLED touchscreen, and there are also non-touchscreen models. The company has used sustainable materials for both packaging and the product itself. These laptops also feature a new touch function row, which can switch between media and function keys and even the keyboard has been updated to include larger keycaps for a "comfortable and smooth typing experience" and all three variants pack a 1080p web camera. In terms of performance, the new Dell XPS 13, XPS 14, and the XPS 16 are powered by the Intel Core Ultra processors with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 mobile GPU. The new Dell XPS lineup of laptops will soon be available in select markets, the Dell XPS 13 comes with a starting price of $1,299, the XPS 14 costs $1,699, and the bigger XPS 16 is priced at $1,899 in the US. The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt TM Hub Monitor (U4025QW) is the world's first 40-inch 5K monitor with five-star eye comfort. This means the monitor will cause less eye strain compared to its contemporaries. Equipped with the 5K resolution ultra-wide angle panel, the UltraSharp 40 is a VESA DisplayHDR 600, which offers a sustained brightness of up to 600 nits while watching HDR content. Similarly, the company has also doubled down on the refresh rate, and the monitor now offers up to 120Hz refresh rate. With a built-in ambient light sensor, the Dell UltraSharp 40 curved monitor can automatically adjust the screen brightness, depending on the ambient light. Similarly, it has a 99% DCI-P3 colour accuracy and users can further calibrate the same using the Dell Color Management software. Dell UltraSharp monitors The Thunderbolt 4 port on this monitor supports up to 140W power delivery and can easily power most modern laptops with just a single cable. The company also announced the Dell UltraSharp 34 Curved Thunderbolt TM Hub Monitor (U3425WE) with WQHD display, which offers up to 90W power delivery and is also much cheaper. The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved ThunderboltTM Hub Monitor (U4025QW) is priced at $2,399.99 in the US, while the smaller Dell Ultrasharp 34 Curved ThunderboltTM Hub Monitor (U3425WE) costs $1,019.99 and will be available starting February 27.
