The Nothing ecosystem currently lacks something you can slap on your wrist, and while that’s yet to change, Nothing Phone and Nothing Ear owners can now fill that gap with the CMF Watch Pro. A sub-brand of Nothing that inherits its parent company’s design-first ideology, CMF on Monday announced three new gadgets including the Watch Pro. Reviews for the other products are on the way, but ahead of that, we decided to provide Nothing fans (or anyone else for that matter) a first look at the Rs 4,999 smartwatch.

CMF is all about design – the brand name stands for colour, material, and finish, after all – and you can tell the company has paid special attention to that part with the Watch Pro. It has a bright orange strap that turns rather flashy when it catches the sunlight, an aluminum body with a mirror-like finish, and a large display that curves around the edges. This 1.96-inch AMOLED panel has a refresh rate of 58Hz and lights up all the way up to 600 nits.

The watch packs all the bells and whistles you’d expect from something of its price, including blood oxygen monitoring support and built-in GPS, and its software is very evocative of its parent brand. You get Nothing’s signature dotted font across its user interface, adding some snazz to the otherwise rather simplistic interface. I might add that the interface almost looks a little too simple, especially considering how few cards you get to cycle through along the watch face but, hey, at least they look pretty.

Getting started with the watch requires that you set it up with the CMF Watch app, and I could tell that the minimalism from the watch’s software carried over to it too. It’s a no-frills app that presents health metrics in neatly laid-out mini-cards. You can use it to tweak some of the watch’s behaviour and, of course, change the watch’s face to one of the many chic options.
Easy to pair and get started. (Image: Zohaib Ahmed/The Indian Express)
If you liked what you saw so far, then the CMF Watch Pro will go on sale on Flipkart and Myntra on September 30 at 12 noon. Or if you’d like to make a more informed purchase decision, stay tuned for our full review.
