Apple to revamp iPad Pro’s magic keyboard to give it a laptop-like feel

The new aluminum case, besides offering additional structural rigidity, will also enhance the look and feel of the Magic keyboard, and the large trackpad is said to aid in better cursor tracking. However, the external layer of the keyboard will still have a rubber finish to offer a better palm grip.

Despite the switch to metal, the weight difference is said to be negligible. However, the use of more expensive construction materials is likely to cause a price increase compared to the latest iteration.

In addition to the Magic Keyboard, the upcoming iPad Pro is suggested to deliver a generational leap in both features and performance. According to another report from Bloomberg, the next-generation iPad Pro will be powered by the Apple Silicon M3 processor, and it is also said to be the first in the lineup to get an OLED screen with enhanced contrast and colour reproduction.

Speculated to launch in 2024, the iPad Pro refresh is also expected to introduce a new design language with even thinner bezels, a slimmer form factor, and new colour options.
