With the festive season already underway in India, both Amazon and Flipkart have shared teasers of what to expect from their annual Great Indian Festival and Big Billion Day sale. While Amazon is yet to share the start date, Flipkart’s sale will commence on September 26 for Plus members and will go live for all users the day after.

While Amazon has a dedicated microsite that gives us a glimpse of the upcoming offers that suggest the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will be available for under Rs 1,00,000, Flipkart has revealed that the 9th gen iPad may be selling for as low as Rs 18,000 or for Rs 18,999. This will likely be the first time in the last few years an Apple tablet will be available in the under Rs 20,000 segment.

According to Amazon, buyers can also avail up to 45 per cent off on best selling laptops, up to 60 per cent on tablets and up to 70 percent off on headphones. Some of the companies participating in the sale include Dell, Noise, BoAt and Apple. Amazon is also offering discounts on Alexa enabled devices as well as Fire TV sticks.

On the other hand, Flipkart’s sale includes discounts on products from brands like Samsung, Apple, Realme, Nothing, LG, Asus and more.

Apart from smartphones and tablets, the Amazon Great Indian Festival and Flipkart Big Billion Day sale will also see laptops and other electronic devices at a much lesser price than they are usually. Both Amazon and Flipkart sales will start 24 hours early for Prime and Prime members, giving them early access to some deals.

Last year, Amazon India said that shopping by Prime members spiked 18 times in the first 24 hours compared to the average daily purchase.
