Amazon announced several new products at its recently concluded annual fall 2023 event. From next generation of Echo Frames to Fire TV Soundbar, here's everything announced at the event.

Amazon concluded its annual fall event in Arlington, Virginia, on Wednesday. The tech giant unveiled several new products and updated the AI model powering its voice assistant – Alexa.

Powered by generative AI features with ChatGPT-like capabilities and Google Assistant-like continuous conversation, the updated Alexa will be available on all products including the first generation of Echo devices. From new Echo Frames to Echo Show 8, here’s everything announced at Amazon’s 2023 Device Event.

Echo Frames

Amazon unveiled the next generation of Echo Frames, its smart glass lineup powered by Alexa. Available in 7 styles, including 2 designed in partnership with Carrera, the new smart glasses will be available in multiple lens options like sunglass lenses with UV400 protection, blue light lenses and prescription ready.

They are IPX4 water and scratch-resistant and offer up to 6 hours of continuous media playback or talk time. They will soon be available for pre-order starting from $269.99.

Echo Show 8

The Echo Show 8 comes with a centered camera and improved noise reduction. It also has a custom speaker system with support for Spatial Audio and an 8-inch screen. Depending on the user’s proximity to the device, the Echo Show 8 will show dynamic content.

For example, if you move away from the device, the screen will show information like a news headline or a large clock but moving closer will offer more detailed content. It will start shipping sometime next month and can be pre-ordered for $149.99.

Echo Hub

Echo Hub is a wall-mountable smart home control panel with an 8-inch touchscreen. Powered by Alexa, it offers a customizable dashboard where you can do things like arm your security system, turn on the fan and change the volume of various devices.

With support for more than 1,40,000 devices and compatible with standards like Matter and Thread, Echo Hub will be available for purchase later this year for $179.99.

Amazon also launched its first-ever Wi-Fi 7-based mesh system, which the company claims is its fastest and most powerful eero device to date. The new device supports 101 Gigabit Ethernet, making it possible to download a 4K movie in under 10 seconds. The company says eero Max 7 will be soon available in packs of one, two and three starting from $599.99.

Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen)

Amazon says the Fire TV Stick 4 (2nd Gen) is more than 30 per cent faster compared to its predecessor and supports Wi-Fi 6. With the search feature now powered by generative AI, voice search will now be easier and offer a selection of recommendations based on your watching history. The new Fire TV Stick 4K costs $49.99.

As for the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen), it supports Wi-Fi 6E and offers support for Dolby Vision, HDR, HDR 10+ and Dolby Atmos. You also get Fire TV Ambient Experience, an always-on display that shows information like family calendar, weather forecast and reminders. It is priced at $59.99.

Fire TV Soundbar

The Fire TV Soundbar is a compact 24-inch soundbar that comes with Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual:X support. Compatible with all Fire TV streaming media players and TVs, it is available for purchase for $119.99.

Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera

Amazon also introduced its next generation of wireless smart security floodlights dubbed ‘Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera’. It is easy to use and comes with up to 2 years of battery life if left on the default settings. The new floodlight camera is available in the US and Canada for $159.58 and $209.98 respectively.

If you want an extended range, you can purchase the Sync Module Pro for $49.99 and a battery extension pack for $29.99.

Ring Stick Up Cam Pro

The new Ring camera now supports 3D motion detection, Bird’s Eye Zones, and also Bird’s Eye View, allowing users to see more of their property. It comes with a two-array microphone and Color Pre-Roll feature which offers a history of detection motion. It is available for pre-order for $179.99 and will start shipping on October 18.

Fire HD 10 Kids tablet

Designed for three to seven-year-olds, the Fire HD 10 Kids and Fire HD 10 Kids Pro tablets have a 10.1-inch screen and full HD displays. They come with 3GB RAM, exclusive content for kids and offer up to 13 hours of battery. You can pre-order the Fire HD 10 Kids and Fire HD 10 Kids Pro for $189.99.

Echo Pop Kids speaker

Amazon also launched a new speaker for kids called ‘Echo Pop Kids’. The new speaker comes with 6 months of Amazon Kids+, which offers content like games, videos, music, apps and more. It is available for $49.99 and will ship in October.
