Airtel has introduced a Rs 119 prepaid plan with 2GB data, reports TelecomTalk. While the new pack appears to be available as an open market plan, the validity varies for different users. The telco has also changed the benefits of its Rs 99 prepaid plan, and appears to have scrapped its Rs 129 plan.
The Rs 119 plan from Airtel provides unlimited voice calling that includes local/STD and national roaming, as well as 300 SMS in the plan period. While most users appear to be receiving this plan with a validity of 14 days, Airtel also appears to be giving this prepaid recharge for 28 days’ validity to select users. The plan is available across telecom circles, and will replace the company’s Rs 99 prepaid plan.
The old Rs 99 plan offered the same benefits as the Rs 119 plan and Airtel has revamped that particular plan. Airtel prepaid subscribers will now spot the Rs 99 alongside benefits of 1GB data, unlimited calling and 300 SMS for a period of 10 days. This plan will also be available across telecom circles, that was not the case with the older Rs 99 pack. The Airtel Rs 119 plan is very similar to Jio’s Rs 99 plan, which offers the same benefits. The latter, though, is available to all subscribers for 28 days.

Airtel also appears to have removed the Rs 129 prepaid recharge, that had been introduced in April. The plan offered unlimited voice calls, 100 daily SMS, as well as 2GB data over 28 days. The Rs 99 and Rs 119 plan details can be seen from the My Airtel app, which should no longer hold the Rs 129 prepaid recharge.
