With this the London-based smartphone maker is expanding its lineup offering its trademark design and smart software at a more affordable price. According to the company, the latest device is aimed at making the ‘Nothing experience’ available to a wider consumer base. The Phone (3a) Lite features the refined transparent aesthetic combined with strong performance, and a slew of AI features.
The Phone (3a) Lite is in line with Nothing’s distinctive transparent design language. However, this time with subtler lines and a more understated finish. The phone is available in White and Black and it features an elegant glass body. When it comes to durability, the device is protected by IP54 dust and water resistance, and an aluminum battery frame that offers extra rigidity.
Perhaps, the main highlight of the device is its 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2392), 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 3000 nits peak brightness for HDR content. It also supports 10-bit color depth and 2160 Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain. The panel’s smoothness and color accuracy make it ideal for streaming content, gaming, and everyday use.
The new Phone (3a) Lite features a triple-camera system that is headlined by a 50 MP main sensor with a 1/1.57-inch Samsung sensor. According to the company, the main sensor captures 64 per cent more light than most phones in its class. It uses the company’s TrueLens Engine 4.0, borrowed from its flagship Phone (3), to enhance photo processing.
Camera features include Ultra XDR, Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Macro Mode, and Motion Capture. On the front, a 16 MP selfie camera supports crisp photos and 4K video recording at 30fps.
A standout element is the Glyph Light, an evolution of Nothing’s signature Glyph Interface. The ring-shaped LED notification system offers customisable light sequences, Flip to Glyph for silent alerts, and Essential Notifications for key contacts.
The phone also integrates with Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15, offering features like Smart Drawer, Private Space, and App Locker. Users will get three years of major Android updates and six years of security patches, with Nothing OS 4.0 expected in early 2026.
When it comes to performance, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset built on a 4nm process, paired with 8GB RAM (expandable via virtual RAM up to 16GB). Storage options include 128GB and 256GB, expandable up to 2TB with a microSD card. The phone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging that reaches 50 per cent in about 20 minutes and 5W reverse wired charging for accessories.
