Xiaomi Redmi 5A gets MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM update in India
Xiaomi has begun rolling out MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM for its budget smartphone, Redmi 5A. The Chinese handset maker has shared MIUI 10 changelog and download links for the Redmi 5A in its official Mi thread.
The latest MIUI 10 Global ROM Stable update brings a revamped UI that support full-screen gestures, natural sound system that include “simplified system sound,” smart filters, and ambient sounds. The update also brings along other improvements and optimisations including revamped Clock and Notes.
The MIUI 10 Global stable update is being rolled out via OTA (over-the-air). The update comes with the build number V10.1.1.0.NCKMIFI and has a file size of about 1.3GB.
Redmi 5A users can check for the update by heading to Settings> About phone> System updates> Check for updates. Xiaomi has shared Recovery ROM link and Fastboot ROM link for those users who want to download the latest build manually. But before flashing the Recovery ROM, users are recommended to back up their smartphone to avoid losing files and data.
Xiaomi recently released MIUI 10 stable update for its budget smartphone Redmi Note 4. Meanwhile, the mid-range Poco F1 has received open Android Pie beta build based on MIUI 10. The update with the build number v8.11.5 is said to include camera fix, stable navigation buttons for the Poco F1.
Xiaomi’s Android One phone Mi A2 has also started receiving Android Pie in India. As per reports, Poco F1 is expected to get Android Pie stable update by the end of the year. Xiaomi has promised that the device will receive MIUI updates till Android Q.
