Samsung has confirmed that some of the Galaxy AI features will be coming to the older flagship smartphones like the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series in 2024. Samsung UK has now confirmed some of the AI features coming to these devices.
According to a post by Mishaal Rahman on X, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will get at least four major Galaxy AI features, which include Circle to Search, Live Translate, Note Assist, and Photo Assist. Right now, there is no confirmation that features like Writing Assist, Transcript Assist and Summaries, Generative wallpaper, and Instant Slow-Mo features will be made available for the older Galaxy S/Z series of devices.
Samsung India’s official website also confirms that Galaxy AI features will be available for the Galaxy S23 FE (review), Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, these features will only be coming to the previous generation flagships and not for the Galaxy S22 or the Galaxy Z Flip/Fold 4 series of smartphones.
Samsung is likely to introduce these features on select devices with the OneUI 6.1 software update, which is likely to be made available in the next few weeks.
