
Samsung Galaxy Folder 2, the second flip phone from the company, has been officially listed on their China website. Samsung has not yet officially announced a price or release date for this flip phone, although it could remain restricted to China. The Galaxy Folder 2 has a clampshell design with the following dimensions: 122 x 60.2 x 15.4mm, and it weighs 160 gms. The new flip phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
According to the specifications, the Galaxy Folder 2 has a 3.8-inch TFT display with WVGA resolution 480×800, a Quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and it comes with an 8 MP front camera and 5 megapixel front camera. The rear camera can capture video at 1080p at 30fps and has a f/1.9 aperture.
Other features supported are USB 2.0, GPS, Glonass, Headphone jack, WLAN 802.11 b / g / n 2.4GHz, WLAN Direct Connect and Bluetooth v4.2. Sensors supported by this phone are Acceleration sensor, a Hall sensor, proximity sensor. The battery capacity (mAh) is 1,950mAh and Samsung is claiming about 318 hours of talktime.
Samsung’s currently in the spotlight thanks to the recall of the Galaxy Note 7, which has an exploding battery issue. Samsung has asked customers to stop using the Galaxy Note7 smartphone, and immediately return it to the company, in exchange for either the S7 or S7 edge. Samsung has officially recalled the Note 7, and this could cost the company close to $1 billion.
