Realme launches GT 6T, India’s first smartphone with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC

On Wednesday, Realme introduced its latest performance-oriented smartphone, the Realme GT 6T. It is the first smartphone in India to launch with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, capable of running generative AI models with up to 7 billion parameters.

The GT 6T is the first performance-centric smartphone in the flagship GT lineup Realme has introduced in the last two years. The base model comes with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and is priced at Rs 30,999. The high-end model comes with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage and costs Rs 39,999.

Starting May 29, the device will be available for purchase exclusively on Amazon, with an instant bank discount of Rs 4,000. This brings down the effective price to Rs 26,999.

Along with the phone, Realme has also introduced the Buds Air6, a TWS with ANC for Rs 2,999 with features like LHDC 5.0 codec, and a 55ms super low latency mode for gaming.

The Realme GT 6T has a 6.78-inch 1.5K resolution screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 6,000 nits, making it one of the brightest smartphones in the market. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The smartphone is IP65-rated for water and dust resistance, and the type-C port can output high-resolution audio. The phone ships with Android 14-based realmeUI 5.

The device has dual nano SIM card slots, supports Bluetooth 5.4, and the phone also has a dedicated NFC security chip. Realme also boasts the cooling solution on the GT 6T, which is said to include a 10014mm² 3D tempered dual vapour chamber along with geek power tuning.

The dual-camera setup at the back has a 50 MP primary sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens. Besides, the device also has a 32 MP selfie camera and supports up to 4K video recording. It packs a large 5,500 mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging. The charger included in the box can charge up to 50 per cent of the battery in 10 minutes.
