Oppo has launched four new products in the Indian market. This includes the new Reno8 series, the Enco X2 earbuds, and a new Pad Air. This is the first time that Oppo is introducing a tablet in the Indian market. The Oppo Reno8 and Reno8 Pro will come with design improvements, new processors, and improved battery life over the Reno7 series.
The Reno8 Pro in China runs the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, making it the first phone to come with this new processor. However, in India, Oppo is opting for the Mediatek Dimensity 8100-Max on the Reno8 Pro. In China, the Pro+ variant comes with this chipset. The company is also introducing its Pad Air in India, which is a tablet. The Pad Air runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 in China and comes with a 10-inch display.
It looks like Oppo India's entire YouTube account has been removed for violating community guidelines. We have reached out to Oppo India for a statement, which is awaited. Some sources the livestream stopped working due to a technical glitch, though officially, the error said the video was removed for violating community guidelines.

The Oppo Reno8 series comes with the Sony IMX709 32MP front camera and the 50MP Sony IMX766 rear camera. The Pro version gets the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max processor and comes with 12GB RAM. Oppo Reno8 will start at Rs 29,999 and go on sale from July 25. There's only one variant with 8GB RAM+128GB storage. The Oppo Reno8 Pro will start at Rs 45,999 for the 12GB RAM+256GB version. It will go on sale from July 19. The Oppo Pad Air will go on sale from July 23. The Pad Air will cost Rs 16,999 for the 64GB storage option, while the 128GB version will cost Rs 19,999. The Oppo Enco X2 will cost Rs 10,999 and go on sale from July 25.
Oppo has launched its Enco X2 TWS earbuds with active noise cancellation as well. It comes with Dolby Atmos Binaural Recording as well. The earbuds come with 11mm dynamic drivers and include support for Bluetooth 5.2.
Oppo is also launching the Smart Stylus Pen with the Pad Air. Users will likely have to buy this separately. The prices are still awaited for all of the products.
The Oppo Pad Air is being showcased now. It comes with a metal body. It is only 6.94mm in thickness. Oppo claims this is one of the lightest and thinnest tablet with a 10-inch screen. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. It also comes with a 7100 mAh battery. It has Dolby Atmos quad speaker. This is a 2K display.
The Reno8 Pro runs the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max, while the Reno8 runs the Mediatek Dimensity 1300 processor. The Reno8 Pro comes in 12GB RAM 256GB storage version. It looks like Oppo is limiting these phones to just one variant in terms of storage and RAM. The Oppo Reno8 Pro supports up to 7GB expandable RAM. The Oppo Reno8 will come with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Both phones have an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro also get an Ultra conductive cooling system, which includes a graphite sheet, super conductive vapour chamber cooling among other features.

The NPU has been developed by Oppo itself and is meant to boost the hardware and software for the camera feature. The Reno8 Pro comes with support for 4K ultra night video thanks to this dedicated. For users this should mean clear 4K videos even when shooting at night. How this actually translates into real-life performance is something we can only tell once we have reviewed the device.
Oppo's MariSilicon X is the company's own Neural Processing Unit (NPU) which is designed to boost the low-light image processing on the smartphone. The NPU has a 6 nanometre design. This NPU is only on the Reno8 Pro. The regular Reno8 does not come with the NPU.
Oppo's Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Damyant Singh Khanoria is on stage talking about the brand's new products. He's also recapping about Oppo's announcements from MWC 2022 earlier, including the 80W and 240W fast charging. The Oppo Reno8 series will come with the 80W fast charing feature.

The price of the Reno8 Pro leaked online ahead of the launched event, and it is Rs 46,999 for the most expensive 12GB RAM+256GB variant. This means the baseline Oppo Reno8 Pro could start at Rs 40,000, which is not surprising given the Reno7 Pro had a starting price of Rs 38,999. So what will be its possible competition given the price? Well, it will likely compete against the Nothing phone (1), the OnePlus 10R, which has the same processor. The Galaxy A53 will also be a competitor given it is in a similar price range. There's also Realme GT Neo 3, which has the 8100 processor as well, and is in a similar price bracket.
In China, the Oppo Pad Air is powered by the Snapdragon 680 processor. It comes with a 10-inch display. There's a pencil and keyboard accessory as well, which is available in China. But it is not clear if these will be launched in India or not. We will have to wait and see how this tablet is priced.
Oppo Reno8 series will get 80W fast charging as well. The company has already confirmed this. Both phones will have a 4500 mAh battery with the 80W fast charging or the SUPERVOOC Flash Charge technology from Oppo. Oppo claims the fast charging technology has been tested and certified by TÜV Rheinland as a safe and quick charging system and it allows for a 50 per cent recharge with just 11 minutes of being plugged in.
The Oppo Reno8 Pro's price has been leaked online ahead of launch. Tipster Mukul Sharma posted an image showing that the 12GB+256GB RAM variant will cost Rs 46,999. This is the most expensive and high-end variant of the phone. Again, we will have to wait till the launch to see if the price is the same.
The Oppo Enco X2 earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation are supposed to launch today but it looks like the price was spotted on Flipkart. Tipster Mukul Sharma posted a screenshot showing the new Oppo Enco X2 as being listed for Rs 10,999 on Flipkart. The listing appears to have been taken down as we could not see the same. Oppo Reno8 series will include two options: The Reno8 and Reno8 Pro. It should be noted that in China, Oppo has three variants in the same series; the Reno8 Pro out there runs the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. The Reno8 Pro+ runs the Mediatek Dimensity 8100-Max.
