OnePlus 2 will now be invite-free always. OnePlus X will be invite-free till December 7.
OnePlus 2, the ‘2016 flagship killer’ from Chinese tech company OnePlus, will now be invite-free across the world.
While in the case of the original OnePlus One the invite system went on for some time, with the OnePlus 2, the company has already hosted a couple of invite-free sales. Now it has decided to scrap the system altogether. OnePlus explained in a blogpost why they were were ending the invite system for the OnePlus.
The blogpost reads, “The invite system has been crucial to letting us scale our operations and has given our fans a unique way to share OnePlus with the people in their lives. But we are always trying to enhance the OnePlus experience for you and taking risks to push ourselves and show real improvements. That’s why we’re making the OnePlus 2 invite-free … forever!”

In addition to the invite-free OnePlus 2, customers interested in the cheaper OnePlus X will also be able on open sale from December 5 to 7.
OnePlus also announced some other deals on its other accessories from December 5 to 7, just ahead of the crucial Christmas holiday season across the world.
While the OnePlus 2 StyleSwap Covers will be available at 50 per cent off, some select OnePlus One accessories will be sold at 90 per cent discount. All other accessories get a 10 per cent discount.
“As a special holiday gift, a limited number of first orders will receive an exclusive Never Settle mousepad,” adds the blogpost.
OnePlus 2 features a 5.5-inch full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera and five-megapixel front camera. This is a dual-SIM device with a USB Type-C connector. OnePlus 2 runs Oxygen OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and has a 3,000mAh battery.
