Over the last few days, the company has teased some of the prominent features of the upcoming device and has even revealed the official renders of the OnePlus 12.
This year, the company has retained the industrial design from the OnePlus 11 and has further accentuated the same to make it look fresh and premium.
Here are the top eight confirmed features of the OnePlus 12:
OnePlus 12 has been confirmed to be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, similar to other Chinese flagship smartphones like iQOO 12 and Xiaomi 14. The company has also confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will be the first smartphone from the company to offer up to 24 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage.
OnePlus 12 will offer a big 6.82-inch curved 2K resolution display with 120Hz refresh rate with a peak rated brightness of up to 4,500 nits (during HDR playback) with a punch hole cutout for the selfie camera. The smartphone is also confirmed to include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.
The 4th gen Hasselblad camera system on the OnePlus 12 will consist of a 50 MP primary shooter, a 48 MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 64 MP periscope zoom lens with support for 3x optical and 6x in-sensor zoom. The smartphone is also said to be capable of recording 4K videos in Dolby Vision format.
OnePlus 12 will have the alert slider on the left side while the power and volume buttons will be on the right side. The phone will have a curved metal frame, where, the back glass and the display seamlessly blend with the frame to deliver a premium in-hand experience. The company has also confirmed that the USB-C port on the OnePlus 12 will support faster data transfer speeds with USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard.
OnePlus 12, at least in China will have an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance. While it is not as water resistant as the iPhones and Samsung Galaxies of the world, it is interesting to see OnePlus officially offering some form of ingress protection certification.
The OnePlus 12 will launch in at least three colours -- black, white, and green. All three phones will have a glass back panel with a circular camera island on the back. The device will also have other features like an IR blaster, stereo speaker setup, and a dual nano SIM card slot with support for a 5G network on both slots.
OnePlus 12 will offer Android 14 out-of-the-box. In China, the smartphone will ship with ColorOS 14 while the international variant of the OnePlus 12 will offer OxygenOS 14 with bloatware-free user experience. Like previously launched OnePlus flagships, the company is likely to offer four years of OS updates and five years of security updates.
The OnePlus 12 will be powered by a massive 5,400 mAh battery and the company has also confirmed that the phone will support 100W fast charging and is bringing back 50W wireless charging. According to the company, the OnePlus 12 can fully charge in just 29 minutes with the 100W fast charger included in the box.
