OnePlus is rumoured to launch to be working on a new flagship phone that might be launched sometime by the end of the year. While it is still too early to speculate, a recent report by GSMArena suggests that the upcoming phone may be called ‘OnePlus 12’ and will most likely feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which we may see at the Snapdragon Summit in October.

Apart from a new processor, OnePlus 12 is also said to bring an upgraded camera setup with the main camera featuring an IMX9 series sensor, which might be similar to the 1-inch IMX989 sensor found on phones like the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and Oppo Find X6 Pro. Rumour has it that the primary sensor will be backed by a 50MP ultrawide lens and a new 64MP OV64B periscope lens by Omnivision.

According to a tipster on Weibo, the upcoming OnePlus flagship phone will be launched sometime in December, which is a month earlier. Other rumoured specifications include a center punch-hole design and an upgraded 2K display with slightly curved edges made by Samsung. OnePlus 12 is most likely to retain the 5,000mAh battery from its predecessor, but the company might increase the charging speed to 150W.

OnePlus is also rumoured to be working on two foldable phones dubbed ‘OnePlus V Fold’ and ‘OnePlus V Flip’. The rumour mill suggests these devices will be based on Oppo’s Find N2 phones which were launched in India earlier this year.
