Meizu MX5 features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display and fingerprint scanner

Meizu has started registrations for its flagship MX5 smartphone in India with retail partner Snapdeal. Meizu might announce its MX5 smartphone on August 26 event in New Delhi. While the registrations are now open, the price has not been revealed.

The MX5 smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Like most flagship devices in market, the Home button on MX5 doubles up as fingerprint scanner.

Meizu MX5 will be powered by 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 16/32/64GB internal storage. The smartphone is loaded with Flyme OS 4.5 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports 4G.

Meizu MX5 sports a 20.7MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and laser autofocus. There is a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture for wide selfies. The smartphone will come with 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS with Glonass and dual-band Wi-Fi.

Meizu MX5 packs a 3150mAh battery and supports quick charging technology.
