LG has announced that the pre-bookings for LG G5, will open from May 21. LG G5 is company’s flagship smartphone which was launched at MWC 2016. It is also the first modular smartphone from the Korean company.
LG G5 is one of the most unique looking flagship this year. The smartphone will be available for pre-booking at mobile stores, LG brand shops and online exclusively at Flipkart. The pre-booking ends on May 30. LG G5 is priced at Rs 52,990 on Flipkart.
LG says customers who pre-book LG G5 will get the companion device – LG Cam Plus – free with the smartphone. LG G5 features a metal unibody and a slide-out battery tray.
Amit Gujral, Marketing Head – Mobiles, LG India said, “The wait for the most anticipated smartphone, in fact the first ever modular phone of 2016 to arrive in India is now over. Customers can now pre-book the LG G5 and we hope more and more people will take advantage of this opportunity.”
LG G5 comes with a modular slot which can be swapped for different modules which LG calls as Friends. LG has designed a CAM Plus, Hi-Fi and B&O Play modules. LG G5 comes with a 5.3-inch Quad HD always-on display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset.
LG G5 also gets 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. LG G5’s another unique selling point is its dual-camera setup. There is a 16MP camera paired with 8MP wide-angle camera which can be switched effortlessly. There is also an 8MP front camera. LG G5 gets 2800mAh battery but can be expanded to 4,000 mAh with CAM Plus module. The smartphone is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with its own UI on top.
