Lenovo has launched a new Android tablet––Lenovo Tab Plus––that packs eight JBL Hi-Fi speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos.

The tablet features an 11.5-inch IPS LCD screen with 2K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a built-in adjustable kickstand with up to 175 degrees of viewing flexibility.

Powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, it handles multitasking well with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of expandable UFS 2.2 storage. The 8,600mAh battery supports 45W fast charging, allowing for extended video content consumption. It has an 8MP auto-focus rear camera and an 8MP front camera for video calls.

Though the hardware isn’t groundbreaking, the audio features are impressive with four woofers, four tweeters, and a personalised app volume control that adjusts the audio for individual apps. The tablet can connect to other devices and function as a wireless or Bluetooth speaker.

It includes a 3.5mm headphone jack that supports 24-bit 96kHz high-res audio. The integrated woofers create a bulge on the back, increasing the thickness from 7.77mm to 13.58mm. It weighs 650 grams with the stand.

Lenovo’s IP52-certified tablet features an ‘Immersive Reading Mode’ that simulates the color matrix of a book’s page and can transform into a digital photo frame or clock via Standby Mode. It runs on Android 14 with promises of two OS updates and four years of security patches.

The company says Lenovo Tab Plus is now available in “select global markets” and starts from $289.99 (approx. Rs 24,250). It is still unclear if the device will be available in India.
