Jio has announced that of its Diwali Dhamaka offer, the company is offering Rs 300 off on JioBharat 4G feature phones that are currently available for Rs 999. As part of the ongoing limited-time offer, Jio is selling the JioBharat K1 Karbonn and the JioBharat V2 for Rs 699. These feature phones are aimed at budget-conscious users who are still using 2G phones. The JioBharat K1 Karbonn and the JioBharat V2 boast a 1.77-inch colour screen and come with a microSD card slot that allows users to expand storage up to 128GB. They have a 1,000mAh battery and come with a digital rear camera. The 4G feature phone only works is locked to the Jio network and supports 23 languages. These feature phones also have apps like JioCinema and JioPay, which allow users to make UPI payments by scanning QR codes. Jio says both devices also support call recording. To give you a quick recap, the Rs 123 JioBharat plan offers a wide range of benefits like unlimited voice calls, 14GB data per month and access to more than 455 live TV channels from the JioCinema app. You can also watch the latest movies and video shows as well as enjoy live sports. The plan also allows users to chat with one another using the JioChat app. Many in India have already upgraded to a 4G or 5G phone, but estimations suggest that there are more than a hundred million people who are still using 2G feature phones. Unlike Airtel and Vodafone, both of which operate a 2G network, Jio started with 4G. With the company bringing down the effective price of the phone to Rs 699, it might help many upgrade to a 4G-enabled device. Last week, Jio expanded the JioBharat series and unveiled the JioBharat V3 and the JioBharat V4. These phones are currently priced at Rs 1.099.
