Meta’s photo and video-sharing platform, Instagram, announced on Monday that users can now edit messages on the platform for up to 15 minutes after sending them. Additionally, the platform now allows users to pin up to three groups or 1:1 chats for easy access.

The 15-minute edit window is similar to that of other messaging platforms like WhatsApp, which allows users to correct messages that “doesn’t sound right”. Users can edit a single message multiple times, and once edited, it will be highlighted that the message has been edited.

Furthermore, Instagram is introducing a new feature that enables users to turn off read receipts, catering to those who value their privacy. Additionally, users can now save their favourite stickers and reply to a text message with a sticker GIF, photo, or video, which adds a new dimension to messaging on Instagram.
