HTC could launch next Nexus smartphone with 5-inch display and 4GB RAM
HTC has been confirmed as the partner for 2016 Nexus devices and now Android Police is reporting that the next Nexus smartphone, also codenamed Sailfish, will feature 5-inch display.
The report further states that this is the smaller of the two devices planned by HTC. The device is powered by an unknown quad-core 2.0GHz processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. Google chose 32GB as base storage for its Nexus 6P last year.

The rumoured Nexus smartphone is tipped to feature a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The device is backed by a 2770mAh battery and will feature a USB-C port for charging. Android Police notes that HTC is retaining the headphone jack and will be mounted on top of the device.
Android Police is rating this speculation an 8 out of 10, which means we could see this device sometime in October. With Google introducing a 5-inch Nexus smartphone and Apple already bringing in a 4-inch iPhone, it seems small phones are going to be the new big thing in the smartphone industry.
HTC is struggling to catch up against Samsung’s dominant hold in the Android space and its last Nexus 9 failed to impress the audience. With new incoming Nexus device, HTC would like to win the market just like Huawei did as a newcomer with its 6P.
