Apple recently unveiled the iPhone 15 series, with the phones going on sale in the country on September 22. The latest iPhones bring significant performance upgrades as well as improved camera sensors.
According to a recent video by JerryRigEverything on YouTube, the iPhone 15 Pro Max back glass panel can crack rather easily under certain conditions for some.
In the video, the most expensive iPhone to date glass back cracks easily when bending the phone, but the iPhone 15 Pro seems to have no such problem. While that may be attributed to Apple making the iPhone 15 back removable to comply with EU regulations, it is still unclear why this happened.
But unlike the iPhone 14 series, the glass back on the latest iPhone series costs significantly less and that’s because Apple has redesigned the internal structure of the latest iPhone. If you own an iPhone 15 series device and cracked the glass back panel, here’s how much a replacement will cost.
The iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro glass back costs the least, with the Apple website estimating expense of around Rs 14,900, whereas the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max back glass panel will set you back by Rs 16,900.
If you happen to have an AppleCare+ plan, all models’ glass back panels can be replaced at a discounted price of Rs 2,500. To give you a quick recap, AppleCare+ plans for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are priced at Rs 14,900 and Rs 17,900 respectively, while AppleCare+ for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max costs Rs 20,900. All these plans cover the phone for 2 years.
