Asus Zenfone 3 series India launch expected in Q3 2016, Zenbook 3 launching in September

Chang confirmed that India will see a Q3 launch for sure as far as the Zenfone 3 series goes, and that the new ZenBook 3 might launch towards the end of September in India. ZenBook 3 is their new, ultra-light notebook which is lighter than Apple’s MacBook Air. Zenbo the robot is unlikely to come to India in 2016.

The Zenfone series consists of three smartphones; ZenFone 3 Deluxe which is the flagship model, Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Ultra which is the phablet.

Asus has give its flagship Deluxe smartphone a full metal body design with invisible antenna bands. It has a 5.7-inch Full HD (1920 by 1080) Super AMOLED display and a 79 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

Zenfone 3 Deluxe runs the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Series processor with Adreno 530 GPU, has up to 6GB RAM, 256 GB storage space though the company will variations of this device in terms of storage.

ZenBook 3 is their new, ultra-light notebook which is lighter than Apple’s MacBook Air.

It has a 23MP camera with the latest Sony IMX318 image sensor, f/2.0 aperture lens, and 4-axis optical image stabilization and 4K video recording.

Asus says that the camera has both OIS and EIS which is electronic image stabilisation to ensure better videos. The camera also has a Super Resolution mode where it can take a 92 mp picture ( five pictures are taken in burst mode and stitched together to bump up the resolution). It also has a colour sensor on the back along with LED flash; this is to improve white balance, says Asus.

Deluxe has a Type-C USB charger with Quick Charge 3.0 support and 3000 mAh battery.

Zenfone 3 has 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 by 1080) Super IPS+ display, 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on the front and rear of the phone. The design is similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 edge series.

It runs Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, has up to 4 GB RAM and 64GB ROM, a 16MP rear camera + 8MP front camera and a fingerprint scanner on the back.

ZenFone 3 Ultra is the phablet with the big 6.8-inch Full HD (1920 by 1080) display and a full metal unibody design. It runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor, Adreno 510 graphics, and has up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB ROM

It also features a 23 MP rear camera, and has a fingerprint scanner on the front. ZenFone 3 Ultra has a 4600mAh battery and Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
