This BGMI tournament, days after ban reversal, promises a whopping Rs 25 lakh prize pool

Featuring 24 top squads including S8UL and Godlike Esports, the Skyesports Champions Series has a prize pool of Rs 25 lakhs.

The Indian esports scene is buzzing with excitement as the ban on the popular battle royale game BGMI has been lifted. Skyesports, an esports tournament organiser, has seized this opportunity to launch a new tournament with a whopping prize pool of Rs 25 lakhs.

The Skyesports Champions Series (SCS) is one of the first major esports tournaments to feature BGMI after its comeback. It will pit 24 of the country’s top squads against each other in a competition that will run from June 9 to June 18.

Prior to the main event, Skyesports will be hosting qualifiers on June 7 and June 8 where 18 teams will compete to be among the six that make it to the next level – the SCS – BGMI semi-finals. The semifinals will take place between June 9 and 13. It will feature 6 teams from the qualifiers and 18 invited squads that will compete in 3 groups of 8 teams each.

The invited teams include S8UL, Godlike Esports, Revenant Esports, Gods Reign, 7Sea Esports, Marcos Gaming, Team Tamilas, Blind Esports, Reckoning Esports, and more.

Finally, the top 16 teams will advance to the Grand Finals, scheduled from June 14 to 18. In this showdown, they will compete to become the first-ever winners of the Skyesports Champions Series – BGMI.

The tournament will be live-streamed on the Skyesports YouTube channel. 6 matches will take place each day from 1 PM IST.
