Microsoft is all set to increase the price of the Xbox Series X console and Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for consoles in India next month. The Redmond-based tech giant will raise the price in all parts of the world except for the US, Chile, Brazil, Hapan and Colombia starting July 6.
For existing Xbox Game Pass monthly subscribers, the change will come into effect on August 13. To give you a quick recap, Xbox Game Pass and the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate currently costs Rs 349 and Rs 499, but after the price hike, it will cost Rs 379 and Rs 549 respectively. In case you have a yearly subscription, the price hike won’t affect you until it expires.
As for Xbox Series X, Microsoft says they are increasing the price of the console to match the price hike of the PlayStation 5 announced last year. After the price hike, the Xbox Series X will cost 550 euros in Europe, $650 in Canada and $800 in Australia, but there is no word on the updated pricing in India.
If you want to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass and avoid the impending price hike, make sure you extend your current subscription for as long as possible. To do so, you can either buy one year pass from Amazon for Rs 3,499 or stack up multiple 3-month subscriptions.
