Is it like Genshin Impact?

While the upcoming game shares some similarities with Genshin Impact like character development and gacha mechanics, the two are completely different in the sense the latter focuses on open-world exploration and combat whereas Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based strategy RPG title.

Will Honkai: Star Rail have multiplayer and co-op?

Unlike in Genshin Impact where players can roam around the open world with their friends and team up to battle against enemies, Honkai: Star Rail won’t have multiplayer or co-op features. The most you can do is add other players as friends to help them with some content.

Is Honkai: Star Rail open world?

Like Genshin Impact, where players can navigate to any part of the map they want, Honkai: Star Rail allows players to explore different maps and areas but it is limited. In a true sense, the game offers a semi-open world experience.

Are there any free characters in Honkai: Star Rail?

In the final closed beta, HoYoverse offered seven Honkai: Star Rail characters for free. They are Trailblazer, Dan Heng, March 7th, Serval, Natasha, Asta, Qingque and Herta.

Is this a gacha game?

Even though the game is free to play, Honkai: Star Rail is a gacha game where players will have to rely on their luck. Similar to Genshin Impact, the developers expect to generate revenue from Stellar Jades (like Primogens) which can be used to pull characters in the Character Banners or recharge Trailblazer Power.

Which platforms is it available on?

Honkai: Star Rail will be available for free on Android, iOS and PC. A PlayStation version of the game is also underway, but HoYoverse is yet to share details on when it will be launched.

Honkai: Star Rail minimum system requirements

If you are planning to play the game on a PC, you will need at least 6GB of RAM, Windows 7 64-bit, Nvidia GeForce GTX 650, and an Intel Core i3 processor. PC users will also need a minimum of 20GB of free space with the game occupying somewhere around 12GB.

Talking of Android, the game can easily run on devices with 4GB of RAM and a chipset newer than Snapdragon 835, Dimensity 720 or Kirin 810 and requires at least 8..5GB free space.

For Apple devices, the minimum system requirements sit at iPhone 8 Plus, iPad with A10 or newer chipset and iOS 10 or later. The game size is around 8GB and 9GB for those on iOS.
