Asus ROG Ally, the handheld gaming console that made its public debut last month, is coming soon to India. Asus teased the device on Twitter, announcing its imminent arrival in the country.
The official Asus ROG India handle has tweeted out a teaser for the upcoming handheld announcing that it’s “coming soon.” The tweet is accompanied by a teaser image which shows the silhouette of the device, complete with its light-up analogue sticks and Xbox-like alphabet buttons toward the right.
While alternatives like the Nintendo Switch and Valve Steam can still be bought in the country from a few online stores at inflated prices, neither of the two has been launched officially. The ROG Ally will thus be the first of its kind to be made available officially here.

The Asus ROG Ally differs significantly from the ROG Phone series. The Windows 11-powered console has been designed to run PC games, as opposed to the ROG Phone, which downloads games from the Play Store. As such, it features an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor under the hood, assisted by a Radeon GPU.
If you crave even more performance, you can connect an external GPU with the console compatible with up to ROG XG Mobile, which boasts a GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU.
Upfront, the aluminium chassis is largely occupied by a 7-inch IPS display with an FHD resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The screen features a 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The console measures 280 x 111 x 21.2mm and weighs 608 grams.
