Google's latest Wear OS 'System Version: H update' is based on Android 9 Pie, as per a 9to5Google report. While the company did not mention the 'new naming scheme,' 9to5Google quoting the Android Building group revealed that the 'H' refers to 'Hematite' which is a mineral form of iron oxide. To recall, Google recently announced 'System Version: H update' for the Wear OS that brings a host of features that will help users have a better experience with the smartwatch running Android OS. The first one is the 'Battery Saver Mode' update which will extend the battery life by turning the Battery Saver and displaying only the time when the battery falls below 10 per cent. Meanwhile, the 'Improved Off Body Efficiency' will send the 'wearable' into a deep sleep mode after 30 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery. Google has added 'Smart App Resume' feature in Wear OS version H update. The feature will basically enable users to pick up from where they left off in apps on their smartwatch. The update will bring a proper power menu to Wear OS with 'Two Step Power Off' feature. Google in its blog post explained that to turn off the watch, the user will simply have to hold the power button until a power menu comes up and shows power off or restart option. The update will be "progressively" rolling out to Wear OS watches over the "coming months."
