Samsung adds Galaxy AI features to Buds 2, Buds 2 Pro, and Buds FE

Samsung's Galaxy Buds 2, 2 Pro, and FE now boast AI-powered live translation and interpretation when paired with the Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung’s Galaxy AI features are now available on more devices. The company has pushed a software update to the Galaxy Buds 2, Buds 2 Pro, and the recently announced Buds FE, enabling experiences like AI-assisted live translation and interpretation. The update is currently available in India and other select markets.

To use these features on the aforementioned TWS, one needs to own a Galaxy S24 series of smartphones. Once updated with the latest firmware, users with the Galaxy Buds will be able to experience live call translation, powered by the Samsung dialler directly on the Buds. The interpretation feature allows users to directly speak via these buds, which will be automatically translated on the other end as per the choice of language.

In the coming days, these features are also expected to be available on older devices like the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip5, and the Galaxy Z Fold5.

These features do not require an active internet connection to work. However, a user needs to download the language pack on the Galaxy S24 series of smartphones. It makes use of the on-device neural processing unit of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Exynos 2400 SoC and supports over 13 languages, including Hindi and English. Similarly, Samsung is also releasing a major software update for the Galaxy S24 series, which will enable users to tweak the colour-tone of the display and the update is also said to improve the camera quality.

Samsung sells all three TWS that support Galaxy AI features in India. The Galaxy Buds retail for around Rs 8,000, while the Buds 2 Pro is priced at Rs 13,000, and lastly, the latest Galaxy Buds FE is priced at Rs 7,999 on major e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart.
