FutureFantastic festival: Conveying climate emergency message using art and AI

Future Fantastic, held at the Bangalore International Center (BIC), is said to be India's first tech art festival, done in collaboration with BeFantastic (India) and FutureEverything (UK).

People are using AI for all sorts of things. From completing homework to writing code for a new app, AI is currently being used almost in every industry. Similarly, AI is also being used to convey the message of “climate emergency” through art and performance at the ongoing Future Fantastic festival in Bengaluru.

Future Fantastic, held at the Bangalore International Center (BIC), is said to be India’s first tech art festival, done in collaboration with BeFantastic (India) and FutureEverything (UK) and nine of the art installations at the Future Fantastic festival were created by artists from India and UK by virtual collaborations.

Climate change is the most urgent global challenge of our time. The FutureFantastic festival is perhaps the world’s first AI and Arts festival with artists in CreaTec and performing arts from Bengaluru and Manchester, and around the world collaborating to create innovative new pieces of art, games and immersive digital and live performance experiences addressing water conservation, a torrent of waste and endangered habitats. He also said that more artists from across the world are now collaborating digitally, especially post-pandemic.

Physical and digital art can co-exist and artists can use AI to get ideas and inspiration to create modern art. The art pieces and performances at the Future Fantastic festival will be used to tell climate emergency stories.

‘Unfortunate’: SC slams reports suggesting ‘pilot error’ led to Air India crash

The Supreme Court Monday issued notice on a plea seeking an independent and expeditious investigation into the June 12, 2025, crash of an Air India Boeing Dreamliner in Ahmedabad, which killed 260 people. The bench also termed as “unfortunate” media reports which indicated that “pilot error” was to blame for the crash, purportedly quoting some preliminary findings by the AAIB.
