Afghanistan cricketer Naveen ul Haq, who is a part of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2023, seems to have taken an on-field spat so seriously that he still continues to hit back even while off the field. In the latest jibe at RCB star batter Virat Kohli, Naveen put out his cryptic Instagram story on Tuesday night without naming Kohli.

He posted another Instagram story just as MI were about to defeat RCB and posted one of the pictures eating mangoes especially moments after Kohli’s dismissal for 1 off 4 with the caption “Sweet mangoes”.

He shared the picture of the MI-RCB game on TV where Mumbai needed eight runs going into the 17th over. It was captioned: “Round 2 with these. One of the best mangoes I’ve ever had thanks @dhaval_parab bhai.”

Though Naveen did not name Kohli or RCB, given the recent spat between the two, it’s clear who he was trying to target.

Moreover, this came just three days after his last Instagram post targeting Kohli. Posting a picture with LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir, Naveen had written, ” Treat people the way you want to be treated. Talk to people the way you want to be talked to #With 🐐😇.” Moments later, Gambhir had responded saying: “Be who you are!! ‘Never Change’.”

It all started after the infamous verbal spat between LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir and RCB’s Virat Kohli during their game at Lucknow on May 3. Following RCB’s win in an emotionally-charged contest, Kohli and Naveen had to be separated after a conversation during handshakes. Naveen shook Kohli’s hand tightly, was not ready to let it go, and said something before the RCB batter shook it off.

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav scored 83 runs off 35 balls as MI beat RCB by six wickets to enter the top four spots. Yadav’s 83 was his IPL best and included seven fours and six sixes as Mumbai chased down Bangalore’s 199-6 with ease. It finished with 200-4 and entered the top four for the first time this season.

Mumbai chased 200-plus for the third time this year, the most in any one IPL season, and is now third with 12 points in 11 games, leapfrogging Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals.
