The Chennai Super Kings clinched their 5th Indian Premier League title after beating the Gujarat Titans in a nail-biting last over thriller of a rain curtailed match which saw Ravindra Jadeja channel his inner MS Dhoni and finishing with a flourish as CSK chased down 171 runs in 15 overs after GT had posted 214.

With 13 runs needed off the last over and the economical Mohit Sharma set to bowl it, CSK had a mountain to climb. After the first four balls yielded just 3, everyone’s hearts were in the collective mouths as Jadeja took strike with just 10 remaining.

He gave CSK a glimmer of hope as he struck a six off the fifth ball to leave 4 runs more. The last ball was then hit for a four as Jadeja wheeled away in celebration as CSK were crowned champions once again.

It was a match worthy of an IPL final and the internet was filled with plaudits for the newly crowned champions and Jadeja.
